This is an Analysis of Solar Energy on Caribbean Small Island Development States (SIDS) with Curacao as a case study. This analysis was performed by Jerico Bakhuis as part of his thesis presented to the Rotterdam School of Management, Faculty of Erasmus University in Candidacy for the MSC Degree of Global Business & Sustainability, to which he graduated cum laude. Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post and various other organisations have contributed with substantive input to make the realization of this analysis possible.

The thesis concentrates on the main research question “How can the government of Curaçao overcome the main obstacles of rooftop Solar PV for the technology to be successfully implemented?”, with, in turn, policy and socio-technical recommendations for Curaçao. For the full thesis download here
