Wire broadcasting systems
An authorization is required to build, maintain, commercialize or cause a wire broadcasting system to be commercialized.
In any case, the following obligations and conditions apply here with regard to:
- The number of dwellings for which the authorization is granted and for which the connection obligation applies
- The technology, structure and quality of the system
- The use of a certain section of the telecommunications infrastructure
- The signal delivery to other wire broadcasting systems
- The allocation and the use of radio frequencies
- The prevention and removal of power failures or interference caused to third parties by the wire broadcasting system
- The time frame in which the wire broadcasting system must be built, after the authorization obtains legal effect
- The protection of the rights of third parties and the compliance with binding treaties and resolutions of an organization under international law applicable in Curaçao
- The technical requirements applicable to wire broadcasting systems and the cable networks connected thereto
- The requirements that apply to the installation of wire broadcasting systems
- The inspection of a wire broadcasting system and the cable network connected thereto
