Radio amateurs
A radio amateur uses frequency spectrum for personal interest purposes (hobby) and without any financial gain. In this capacity a radio amateur gains skills, communicates through radio and does technical research.
Required documents for authorization request
A local radio amateur is eligible for an authorization with the submission of a written request and the following required documents:
- An adhesive stamp of NAF. 10.00
- A license (Evidence of qualification)
- A license is granted only after passing a radio exam.
Radio exams local radio amateurs (certificate of operation)
The radio exam can be taken twice a year. The dates of the course and exams are previously announced in the newspaper. Required documents authorization foreign radio amateurs
Foreign radio amateurs must request authorization through an application form especially designed for this purpose. For local radio amateurs a written request, an adhesive stamp of NAF. 10.00 and a license (evidence of qualification) will suffice.
