Tariff structure

The basic structure for the sales price of bitumen consists of a number of components.

• Tariff per barrel bitumen: the actual average purchase price per barrel bitumen based on purchase prices of the past year (see line 1.1 in the table)
• Tariff per liter bitumen in dollars: the actual purchase price in US dollars per barrel is converted into US dollars per liter, 1Barrel = 158.98 liters (see line 1.2 in the table)
• Tariff per liter bitumen in NAF.: the actual purchase price in US dollars per liter is converted into NAF per liter, 1US$ = NAF 1.82 (see line 1.3 in the table)
• Margin Curoil: this margin is set at 2.3% to cover the sales costs and collection (see line 2 in the table)
• Basic purchase price Curoil: the basic purchase price consists of the actual purchase price per liter bitumen in NAF, plus the margin of Curoil (see line 3.1 in the table)
• Basic purchase price Curoil per US Gallon: the basic purchase price of Curoil in NAF is converted into the price per purchased US Gallon in NAF, 1US Gallon = 3.7853 liters (see line 3.2 in the table)
• Surplus/Deficit: this is a correction of any differences resulting from the purchase price and sales used in calculating against the actual purchase price and sales calculated in arrears. Any surplus/deficit will be included in the price per US Gallon in NAF (see line 4 in the table)
• Turnover Tax 6%: the turnover tax is added to the price per US Gallon in NAF, including the surplus/deficit incorporated there within (see line 5 in the table)
• Sales price (see line 6 in the table)
