From 18 to 20 June 2018 ITU will hold the Capacity Building Symposium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The event will focus on the theme ‘Developing Skills for the Digital Economy and Society’, which will explore the skill set, specific knowledge requirements and strategies required to leverage the opportunities that arise from emerging trends in the field of digital technology. Stakeholders, experts from the international academic and business community and government officials will discuss the value of developing a skilled work force to drive a digital knowledge-based economy and how this will aid in achieving the ICT-driven Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
