Curaçao, 3 August 2015
The Bureau Telecommunication and Post (hereinafter: the Bureau) provides further explanation on the adaptation of the tariffs for Mogas 95 (gasoline) and Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD), as recently decided upon by the government of Curaçao, which tariffs will be applicable in the month of August 2015.
The structure of the tariffs for the products Mogas 95 and LSD is reflected on the bottom of this page for the month of July, as well as for the month of August 2015.
The adaptations of the tariffs which shall become effective as per 4 August, primarily originate from the changes in purchase prices of Curoil for both products.
The regulated product Mogas 95 shows a tariff increase of approximately NAF.0,06 per litre. This is a consequence of the increase in the purchase price which is based on invoices of June 2015. This increase is also in line with the development in the international Platts quotation for Mogas 95. The tariff for the regulated product Gasoil LSD shows a slight decrease by a lower purchase price which is based on the purchase invoice of June 2015.
The item surplus/shortfall, consisting in a correction based on the actually realized figures as compared to the forecasts used in the calculation and the ‘60 months’ recovery component, is adapted quarterly and therefore in August it remains unchanged for both products as compared to the month of June 2015.
The prices for LPG remain constant in August 2015 in accordance with the current policy.
