Curaçao achieves UNESCO Broadband Commission’s affordability target for ICT services in 2021

In 2022, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) published the Policy Brief “The affordability of ICT services 2021”, which on page 3 includes Curaçao as a “selected economy” that has met the UNESCO Broadband Commission’s affordability target of 2% of the Gross National Income per capita (GNI p.c.). This applies specifically to the mobile data only package as offered on the market by local mobile service providers. Click here to see among which economies Curaçao has been positioned. By accomplishing this target Curaçao also meets the SDG target on affordable access to the Internet.
