Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post Curaçao (BT&P Curaçao) is honoured to be acknowledged by BT&P SXM for the supporting efforts during the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
During the presentation given by Mr. Sidney de Weever, Head of Technical Affairs for BT&P in Sint Maarten, at the LACNIC 29 convention in Panama from 30 April till 4 May, BT&P Curaçao and its emergency team ESF2 received particular praise for the extended support to safeguard the continuity of telecom services in Sint Maarten.
BT&P is highly appreciative to her colleagues in Sint Maarten for this acknowledgement.
LACNIC
LACNIC is one of the most important Internet events in the region that brings together experts and representatives of academia, civil society, the private sector, governments, and the telecommunications industry.
This LACNIC edition, LACNIC 29, is particularly important due to the FIRST symposium (Forum for Incident Response and Security Teams) on 1 and 2 May that is held during the LACNIC convention. This symposium is aimed at fostering cooperation and the coordination of incident prevention to encourage quick incident response and information exchange among LACNIC members, FIRST and civil society in general in Latin America and the Caribbean.
