Vision and Mission
BT&P's vision is to optimally develop telecommunication within a partly liberalized Netherlands Antilles' market, thus enabling free competition and resulting in realistic choices for consumers. The same vision holds true for the postal market. This is with the objective to uphold high social and economical standards in the country.
From this vision results the following mission:
- To run and maintain a flexible organization with highly motivated personnel and adequate rules that can meet the fast changing developments in the telecommunication sector.
- To implement the telecommunication and postal strategies and policies along with its accompanying laws and regulations.
- To advise the government and other authorities on telecommunication and postal policy.
- To provide optimum service, which includes the inspection, supervision, advise, and control responsibilities towards the stakeholders.
- To keep up with technological developments regarding telecommunication and postal matters and to bring about the resulting changes to the local situation.
- To ensure optimal user possibilities of the radio frequency spectrum.
- To exchange information with international organizations.
- To safeguard the interests of the Netherlands Antilles' telecommunication and postal community (based on international agreements).
